Who can take part
Any authorized DTF Station dealer company. Each company registers its own salespeople before the race opens. Only registered reps can claim a unit.
The window
The race runs from Monday September 15 to Friday September 25 at 12:00pm Las Vegas time. Nothing submitted after that time counts.
What counts
One point for each Vega S17 unit locked in against a dealer invoice. A rep taps Claim a unit, which holds the next available unit for 20 minutes, then enters the customer’s business name and their own invoice number before that clock runs out. The unit is locked in at that moment and the board updates immediately. There is no approval step.
If the clock runs out first, the unit goes back on the row for anybody to take. A rep may hold one unit at a time, may ask for one extension of 20 minutes per unit, and may hand a unit back early at no cost. A rep whose clocks run out repeatedly in one day will be asked to contact DTF Station before starting another.
When the show allocation is gone
The row on the booth screen is the show allocation. Once every unit on it is locked in, pre-orders continue against the next shipment of 60 units, landing late October or early November. A pre-order is claimed and locked in exactly the same way — the same clock, the same invoice number, the same purchase order deadline — and it counts towards this award like any unit on the row. The board shows the row and the next shipment separately so that the show allocation stays the number it was published at.
The purchase order
The invoice number holds the unit; the customer purchase order confirms it. Every unit locked in during the show needs its customer purchase order sent to DTF Station by October 25. It can be uploaded at the booth, or any time afterwards from the same page.
A unit with no customer purchase order by that date is forfeited. It comes off the dealer’s total and off the final table, and the rep is told when it happens. This applies to every dealer equally and it is the reason an invoice number is enough at the booth.
The standings are provisional
The public board shows units claimed against a dealer invoice. It is marked provisional for the whole run because an invoice is a promise to buy, not a completed sale. The award is confirmed after those units convert to placed orders, on or before October 25. Anything that does not convert, and anything whose customer purchase order never arrives, is removed from the final table.
The announcement
At 1:00pm on Friday September 25 at the DTF Station booth, we name the leader at the close of the show. The award itself is confirmed once the purchase orders convert, and the winner is notified directly.
The prize
One Vega S17 for the winning dealer company's demo floor, placed with title retained by DTF Station. Placement terms are provided to the winner in writing.
Who is eligible for the prize
A dealer company that already has a Vega S17 on its demo floor is not eligible for the demo unit prize, because the prize is a demo floor machine. Those companies still take part, still score, still appear on the board, and are still eligible to be named top seller.
Ties
Most units wins. A tie is broken in favour of the company that reached that number first.
Demo floor machines are a separate sale
The machines standing on the DTF Station booth floor are also for sale during the show, at show pricing, shipped to the customer directly from the floor. A rep claims one with an invoice number and sends the customer purchase order within 24 hours; without it in that time the machine goes back on the floor for another dealer.
Demo floor sales do not count towards this award. Different stock, different pricing, and these rules were published before those machines went on sale. They do not add to or subtract from any dealer’s position on the board. That includes the Vega S17 demo unit standing in the booth: it is sold from the demo floor like any other machine there, and it is not one of the units on the row.
Submissions we can void
DTF Station may void a submission that is not a genuine customer order, is a duplicate, or was entered in error. Voided units go back on the row. We will tell the rep and the dealer why.
Orders placed with DTF Station by phone or email rather than through this page count exactly the same and appear on the board in the same way, recorded against the dealer and the rep who sold them.
Text messages
Registered reps receive text messages about unit availability and the standings. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving them. Stopping the texts does not affect the ability to claim a unit.
Everything else
DTF Station administers the award and its decisions are final. We may correct obvious errors in the standings. These rules were published before the race opened and do not change during the run.
